For individuals who are dual eligible, they qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. Generally, dual eligibles qualify for QMB (Qualified Medicare Beneficiary) benefits, where the insured’s non-Medicare coverage is covered by Medicaid. Essentially, this provides these individuals with full coverage health insurance.
