Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)

A HMO provides to its members a variety of health services and benefits for a set fixed. Usually, members have a co-payment, but do not have a deductible. With an HMO, members must choose his/her primary care physician from the HMO's network. If you visit a physician outside of the HMO network for non-emergency care, you will not receive benefits.
